Psalm 40

How beautiful this Psalm has been to meditate on…
The author really reminded me of the importance of meekness, and that we are in constant need of God and His graciousness.

The Psalm starts with praise and adoration for how God has saved the Psalmist, he goes on to speak of how he will continuously declare God’s goodness and that he wouldn’t hide it. He writes about how innumerable the works of God are, and how his mind couldn’t even come to wrap itself around or come close to thinking of the thoughts that God has towards us
The author concludes the Psalm by declaring God’s power and asking God for mercy and salvation.

We could never stop needing God! Truth is, even on the highest of mountains we need to remember that it is He who placed us there and He who will sustain us in whatever path we go on from there.
May we live to declare His goodness, may we not deprive our testimonies and thus prophecies of what God can do in their lives.

May we learn to wait, to wait patiently because surely, He hears our cry.
